So, July 1, Canada Day. Normally I suppose nothing much would be done in celebration...but since we are Canadian students at a foreign campus we must make a ruckus :P So we got some classes cancelled and had a BBQ out on the cricket field instead of the usual cafeteria food. BBQ wasn't very good though, the burnt paddies and hotdogs and minimal vegetable selection.
It was all good fun with informal games of soccer and tag (which brings us back to elementry school). Later at night at around 10pm we had a bonfire...well a big campfire. Many people got drunk and then proceeded to roast marshmellows :) We sang O Canada and the Queen's Oil thigh, yes people were very drunk, I wasn't but I joined the fun :)
