Today I bought I bike. I saw the advertisement in yesterdays student newspaper. 20 Euro, (about 23 dollars). Today the man selling it brought it by the school and since I know nothing about bikes I had some fellow students look it over. For the price it was fine. It had belonged to the gentleman’s grandmother so it suits me just fine. It is a KTM (which is a good brand) but it must be about 20 years old….but cute. It has the front brake on the handle and the for the back you use your feet. It has only one gear, but it has a light and a clinger and a rack in the back for me to set thing on. It even has fenders (for the rain here) and came with a lock, I almost wish I could take it home, but riding a bike is not like riding one here. Cars are aware of bikes here because their presence is so dominant. I really feel German now. I even took it on the train with me today. All I need now is a basket.
