Sometimes I still get the inkling that one day I could live here in Germany. I do not think that this will happen in one year, but “who knows??”…maybe…someday…
Some people do not understand why I come here so often (Yes, because of Helmut of course), but it is more than that. After being here for almost one week I have already adopted a more relaxed attitude. I spend long moments not thinking about anything. I do have some plans, but they are not stressful. If something does not work out, it does not and that is okay.
I do not think that it will be my last time in Germany. I will return. Strangely Germany seems like a part of me, like a piece of a puzzle that is my life. I may not move here, but I will come back, at least to say “Hello”.

Currently, I am influenced by the glorious weather here, mid 70’s, very sweet. Also, I made some friends, although they are transient like me. They taking German class also. Some for their jobs, some for University and some like me, just because they want to. Last night we went to “Der Stollen”, a set of underground tunnels in Bamberg, all sandstone. I saw where many people hid during the bombing of WW II. Once beer and food were stored there due to the consistently low temperature. The tour was entirely in German and the man spoke a local accent that I did not really understand, but it was still nice to see.
