As promised I am working really hard to get all of my journals back on track. So this is about my second hour spent updating journals. I cant say that I am thrilled to be still in here but I figure I have been really bad about updating so I owe you guys a little bit more than ussual.

Last night was a trip. After we got done with the internet and our shopping we headed back the hotel. It was really hot and we wanted to for a swim but the sun was still up, luckely for us the pool in the hotel was now covered in shadow so we decided to take swim there. And while we were at it why not have a few drinks. We started off swiming by ourselves but as we swam we realized that the hotel was not full of people. Turns out that two large groups had joined the hotel. One a larger family on a vaction the other a group of teachers also on vaction. A few other tourist had also showed up to join the fun. At first it was just us in the pool but as the heat persisted people just started to fall into the pool with us. First the group of travelers a few from canada others from denmark, im not sure where the rest were from and dont even ask me about names.

We continued to drink but the real fun started when the guatemalans got in the pool. They asked us if we were drinking and we said of course, they too had been doing a bit of drinking so our two groups merged well. Highlights of the evening included a little ball game between holland and the states. Just a playful game of keepaway, but with my sun burn I left more than a little bit in pain. After that we really started talking with the others in the pool. All the travelers had left by this time and it was just us and the techers. Nick talked with one guy for awhile while I was talking with and older woman teacher and her boss. She was an english teacher so it was kinda funny, I talked to her in spanish and she talked to me in english, we carried on a converstaion like this for about 20 min or so before i was hit in the head with a plastic ball and had to go avenge myself.

The pool is a funny thing when it comes to drinking. I didnt realize how drunk I was till after we were done swimming and then I decided to pass out in my bed..... But before all that let me go back to the dancing which will lead well into nicks journal if you visit his about the discoteca. Anyway one of the girls, Carmen, I believe seemed to have develope a bit of a crush on jilles and wanted to dance with him the whole night in the pool. I found out the next moring that nick and jilles went the club and she got her wish. But in the pool jilles seemed to dodge her pretty well, he had sofia to kinda hind himself. Unfotunately for jilles the pool also had effected sofia pretty strongly as well, she made it back to her room as well but had a bit of a run in later with the toilet if you know what i mean. we have been teasing her all day today about it. I think we started swiming and drinking around 5 pm or so and didnt stop until about 10 so even though the night was young it was a long day. I passed out about 10 or so in my bed, I was a bit disapointed to not make it out, but i was in no shape for dancing.

The next morning I woke up about 8 or so with no hang over or anything, which was a very nice suprise. We had a bit of breakfast and then debated about what to do with our trip. We got some bad information about the holland soccer game being on today when in fact it is tommorow. Based on that information we decided t stay another night to see the football game. Now with the game on tommorow we have to leave at like 7 am for our next stop, but i am not sure we know where that is yet.

One last bit of interesting information. I made a little bet with sofia and jilles so for the rest of the trip I will be a vegitarian, which really means just for the next two weeks or so. I think I can do it, its really not that hard. One other last thing. I went on a little river boat trip at 5 am yesterday. It was part of a project to save the forest here and some of the wild life. It was a small boat which was pushed by one guy with a big stick no motor. We didnt really get to see to many animals but a lot of different kinds of birds and the sun was just coming up which made for some really nice pictures. It was aout a two hour trip and it was very calming, we went all threw the rivers and under some really neat forest. I always forget the names the trees and birds but there was a lot of cool stuff to see.
