So, I've been whiney the last two days :P But things aren't as bad as I make them seem :) Today has improved and things are going better. The residence room has cooled to a more livable temperature today, and the outdoors are somewhat warmer. Food is also something I like, fresh waffles for breakfest, and sweet corn and vegetable stew on rice for dinner.
Went for a long walk in the gardens and took lots of photos today. Won't be uploading them until I have more bandwidth to play with so look forward to them later :) Got to see the peacock display its tail today, and took many photos of the full view of the castle.
Now to the title topic of the first day of classes. Since today I only had one class tomorrow will be a continuation to the other course I am taking. Each lecture time section is 3 hours long, we have 3 possible sections per day (9am - 12pm, 2pm - 5pm, 6pm - 9pm). I only had one class today, art history at 2pm. 3 hours is a bit much to take in one sitting, but it isn't unlike the course I just completed for physiology. Here we get 18 hours of lectures/week plus there are field trips :) Tomorrow I have 6 hours of classes because I get my first society and technology lecture.
Apart from classes there are cultural and recreational things that we sometimes get to take part in. I signed up for the Oxford trip which should be interesting.
