Well as stated This Shorty Pub night was our last Evatt function out for the semester which sucked. But being me I went big, and didn’t stop until dawn. Started the day off with math work, which I didn’t finish until six at night for you sceptics. Our barbecue started at six as well. So I raced home and changed my clothes. Our theme was a day at the races, horse track (their big here I will try to hit one up before I am gone), so everyone dressed up and we had sausages, and etc. Good free meal.
Around 7:00 we all walked to shorty pub and began the night away. We sing karaoke till they kick us out, and there are TVs to watch the Friday night footy game from and a room to also converse with the locals which we stay away from. The night is always good. Everyone gets pissed and has fun. I sang “Twist and Shout” with my friend Andrew, as well as “Somewhere out there,” that one was a bit femmish, but we made sure our group title was “Not Gay” so no one was confused. Then all we Americans sang “leaving on a jet plane.” And to end it I sang, “Ice Ice baby,” I have it memorized, and most know it now as my song, just like “senorita.”
Besides singing we all danced, drank, and visited. I managed to my one drunken phone call, which in the most unexpected manner was to my mother, who was getting ready for work. First time for everything. It was a good chat though, thanks mom.
At the end of the night I went back to the Cat room and what the movie “Blow” with my friends. Always a great movie.
