So today we decided to join in on an Australian past time...its soemthing called lawn bowling. It is very popular amongst elderly people, but is also done by youngsters for a good time. It is a game much like Bocci Ball...you are given 2 balls, and every person has different pictures on their balls (so you can tell the difference) and then there is a small white ball. The object of the game is to get your ball as close to the small white ball as possible. Sounds pretty easy, however there is a slight catch in this game...one side of the ball is weighted...so that when you try and roll the ball straight it curves to one side or the other. So you have to develope this talent of throwing the ball correctly, which is much easier said than done!! We were all absolutely terrible at this game!! I suppose you could say that we slowly got better as the game went on....but really we just sucked!! We had an awesome time though, cheep beer, free food, and an experience that you couldnt have anywhere else!!
