Dr. Data (Urban Cowgirl ?) in Jackson Hole, Wy

Dr. Data Urban Cowgirl in Jackson Hole, Wy

After a nice day of kayaking, we headed to Jackson Hole to spend Lisa's last night celebrating in town. We decided to spend the night at the Virginian RV park and take the "free shuttle" to the town square. This is a wonderful service that is found in both Jackson Hole and Steamboat Springs.

The bus ride was as we sometimes find, quite interesting in part due to the conversation of a colorful local we presume. Got off near the square and walked around enjoying the sights and sound.

Our first stop was the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. One of the kitschy things to be found there are the saddle bar stools. All hopped up and had a drink and visited with the bartenders. Lisa and one of them got into a conversation about Michigan football and tourist attractions.

From there we proceeded to have dinner at the Snake River Grille. We had never been there and were just going on what reviews had said but we were not disappointed in the least. It was pricey but the atmosphere and food were worth it. We treated it as an early birthday celebration for Laura.

After dinner we headed to the Wort Hotel and the Silver Dollar Saloon. This is one of the places we usually go when we are in Jackson Hole. The band was just getting ready to start and when they did we led the people out onto the floor to dance. Had a nice time dancing, listening to the music and visiting with some of the people sitting around us.

Since Lisa had to catch an early flight we did not close the place down. Caught the bus back and declared a good time had been had by all!
