Horned Toad in Santa Fe !

The other evening I went out to the compost bin and one of the two cats that live near us folowed me. While I was dumping stuff into the bin, I looked over at the cat and noticed it was looking at something on the ground. Lo and behold, it was a horned toad!

Have not seen one of them in a long time. Convinced the cat to came back with me and not stay and play with the horned toad. Got Robert to come out with me to see it and take some pictures since we had not seen one in so long.

The next day I went to make my final compost drop before we left on our trip and he was still out there in the sun. Robert did a little research and it said they do enjoy the sun and this one surely was. What a treat it was for us to see!
