WildEarth Guardians

WildEarth Guardians

One of the fun things we do when we are in Santa Fe is do volunteer work for Wild Earth Guardians. We have planted trees along the Santa Fe River and Rio Puerco (i believe). We have gone to the Valles Caldera and taken down fences to allow the elk clear passage. This was quite a undertaking because you are working at 9000 feet and climbing as you pull up old fence posts, roll up old barbed wire and then take it to a pick up point.

Those are the strenous jobs. We have also done some office work for them getting invitations, newsletters ready to be mailed out. Good hand-eye coordination required to make sure you put the return address label, address label, and stamp in correct place.

We have also done some posting of flyers around town. That was really fun because you get to see parts of Santa Fe we do not always go to. This we did on bicycle and it allows you to enjoy the beauty and diversity of Santa Fe.

Wild Earth Guardians has moved into a new location just off the Santa Fe river. It is a historic old building and has such good feng shui to us while we are working. Nice outdoor patio to sit and eat your lunch as well.

Great organization to work for and believe in!
