Backyard Cooking to Beat the Heat !
Backyard Cooking to Beat the Heat !
One of the things we have really gotten better at is backyard grilling to keep the heat out of the kitchen. We have an outdoor kitchen set up with both an electric two burner and a propane grill. It is shaded by pecan trees and we usually have a breeze to beat the heat. The bird feeder is right by the grills and the birds have seemed to finally be used to us and will actually land and get seed while we are out there.
Have come up with an impressive set of meals ................
grilled salmon with grill asparagus and salad
vegetable shish kebobs
sweet potato medallions (covered with olive oil, italian seasoning, and
a rub called ancho rub)
grilled mushrooms
grilled squash
using our convention oven (small one that also does toast, etc.)
pizza
The pictures you see are some of these meals
