We arrive in Paris
We left JFK at 5:30p.m. on Saturday, June 9th, and arrived in Paris at 6:30 Sunday morning, along with our friends from Ohio (Floyd, Donna, and their daughter Jessica -- our translator). We took the bus to our hotel and immediately set off on the first foodie adventure -- Sunday breakfast on rue Cler, home of markets, bakeries, bars, cafes, and Paris bikes (put in your credit card and take one!) The lavendar lady was there, along with Parisians gathering the day's baguettes.
After breakfast, we walked to the Eiffel Tower, then it was off to find Jim Morrison's grave in the giant old cemetery inhabited by everyone from Picasso and Moliere to -- well -- Jim Morrison. Apparently he couldn't be buried in the US due to some pesky legal issues. Imagine that.
