Camp 38, Queensland

We headed north from Townsville to Kurrimine Beach, with a cuppa stop along the way...

Camp: Kurrimine Beach
Stay: 19-22 June
Weather: overcast but still nice & warm (day & night), 14-25 degrees
Facilities: lovely welcome by park manager (free upgrade from ensuite cabin to deluxe for my folks so they could be close to our camp site, free ice-creams handed out, Wednesday morning Devonshire tea at camp kitchen!!) and nice community within the park
Activities: walks/jogs around Kurrimine Beach town & beach, day trip to explore Mission Beach area, day of fishing (morning session on beach supplied us with entree & arvo session at the creek was completely quiet), played chocolate Trivial Pursuit & sampled some Rum Liqueur, BBQ dinners (prawn/crab stir fry, pork strips & veg rounds, gourmet bangers & mash) and the laughs continued!
