Camp 27, New South Wales
Goodbye noisy generators & barking dogs, hello Nambucca River & peaceful green camp area!
Camp: Gumma, near Nambucca Heads & Macksville
Stay: 16-18 May (could've stayed longer though, it was a really nice spot!!)
Facilities: $12/night covered toilets, drinking water & camp fireplace, fully grassed sites, the neighboring Nambucca River provided a fishing opportunity & there was shade but also plenty of sun!
Weather: beautiful sunshine during the day & cool nights, with averages being about 10 min / 22 max
Activities: explored Nambucca Heads (cuppa & stroll at the V Wall), lunch & ice-cream riverside at Macksville, dropped a line in the Nambucca River (all catches were undersized so no fishy supper for us), chilled in the sunshine at camp with an iBook & then moved fire-side when the cool started to drift in, toasted marshmallows, and we continued to enjoy our team effort with camp dinners
Travelling north to share birthday celebrations with niece, Matilda, and the rest of the Dods clan in Byron :-) Yay!
