Camp 23, New South Wales

Thanks for a great weekend Sam! The drive from Hargraves to Macquarie Woods was nice but hilly, very picturesque!

Camp: Macquarie Woods, Vittoria State Forest (halfway between Orange & Bathurst)

Stay: 7-10 May

Weather: still enjoying the clear sunny days, about 22 degrees daily! Not enjoying the clear cold nights though, only 0-2 degrees!

Facilities: free camping therefore camp toilet & shower, camp fireplaces, beautiful views and table/benches provided

Activities: day trip to the pretty town of Orange (lots of fallen leaves everywhere, heritage walk of the town, food shop & local produce purchased), camp oven roast lamb, toasting marshmallows by campfire, star gazing at the clear sky & watching the new moon rise, day trip to Bathurst (again with the autumn fall of leaves, another heritage walk of the town, ice-cream, lap of Mount Panorama in the Nissan), pork belly on camp fireplace, adding numerous layers of clothes in the evening to keep warm (including gloves, beanies and extra jackets!)

Then we hit the road for our old "home" of Sydney... For our final goodbye! This time when we leave, we don't know when we'll be back :-(
