Hey everyone!
I had my first exam on Wednesday. I spent the weekend and Monday and Tuesday studying hard. Then I found out on Tuesday night that most people over here don't normally get above 70% on their tests. I didn't quite understand how the grades transfer and found out that a 70% is equivalent to an A at UMass. So out of my 100 multiple choice questions, I could get 30 wrong and still have an A. Of course the tests are a little bit harder over here and that's why the grading is as it is, but I was very thankful to find out that I have more cushion over here than back in the States.
So I think the test, which included an essay went well. I have another test next Friday. And my 21st birthday is Tuesday :) Dave and Steve (from UMass) are coming out from London on Monday night and that's when my big celebration will be. Hopefully if it's nice we'll do a bbq on the beach.
It's been really nice here the past week. Sunny every day. I have a well nice tan (although my legs and face burned a little).
To everyone (including my big sis) graduating this weekend: congratulations! Hope the weather is nice at home.
Cheers!
