Hey hey!!! well, after a very long journey getting here (27 hours of flying time on thai airways....soooo tiring)... we have made it to tokyo. were met by good friend toshi - (from chamber music group in 2001!), who has been our guide, translator and general provider of local knowledge while we've been here. nothing hugely out of the ordinary to report...tokyo is wonderful though - just driving through it to get to hotel before from airport took 1.5 hours,... it's so alive, so clean, so modern,and huge. 25 million people in one city... right now we all just need lots of sleep.. the flight from brisbane to bangkok was espcially long and hot, and i hardly slept - no good movies either! but, we're here safe and sound and after resting will begin to look around/do stuff!
