Day Hike in Colorado High Country with Dennis and Barbara

Went on a lovely hike in the Colorado High Country. The day was beautiful, clear, calm winds, and pleasant temperature.

We hiked through a stand of aspens that still had their leaves but were turning. There was a sign warning to not walk in areas with dead trees during high winds because of the danger of falling trees. Fortunately this was not an issue.

We got to the top and had a glorious view down on the lake, the surrounding hills and mountains in the distance. What more could you ask for?
