Bangalore, Again
So, friends, I have returned to Bangalore so that I may leave India tomorrow.
I took a bus that left Panjim (aka Panaji, which makes things really confusing when a city has two names, both in a language you do not speak) at 5:30, and arrived at my hotel in the heart of the city at 9:45 this morning. I took a shower--my first shower in I don't want to admit how long--after scaring myself by looking in the mirror for the first time in a week.
Why an Iranian guy proposed to me yesterday is beyond me, seeing as I look ridiculous and am mosquito-bitten to the point it looks like I have smallpox.
To be fair, I would have taken a shower yesterday, but the water in my room on the ocean didn't work. And the night before I would have taken one, except there was a mouse in my bathroom. (I had some guys take it out, but it returned and was in the toilet, so I stayed clear of the bathroom as much as possible. Don't worry, I had my friend rescue it from the toilet and it was fine. He said it must have eaten rat poison, so the water from the toilet actually helped it survive, go figure.)
Today I will wander around Bangalore with no purpose other than to take pictures, possibly mail some postcards, and of course eat at McDonald's.
Hope everything is well back home. I will update next from England!
