Week One: Chillan

This week has been really amazing! I have made many new friends, and had so many hilarious experiences. The church here in the community was wrecked during earth quake, and now our job is to tear it down so that they can rebuild it later. The other day I was cleaning up rubble after the guys took down the concrete walls with the jack hammer and I saw a piece of sponge. I thought... Hmmmm I'm gonna throw it at Miriam, so I picked it up, and yelled "Hey Miriam!" And as I was about to throw it I realize it is a mumified mouse!!!! I SCREAMED!!!It still had teeth and a tail and everything. SO GROSS!! Everyone laughed at me.

We are all trying to make an honest effort at trying to learn Spanish it's been very interesting. Half of us can't role our Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr's haha, but somehow I have managed to learn the trick. My other job besides being team blogger, is being in charge of food. I have to say, we have made some AMAZING food! SO DELICIOSO!

I can see God really working in this neighbourhood, it's amazing to see their passion, and how they help one another. I have more details in our team blog, you should check it out.
