End of February
Caravan fixed….at last.
Purchased a new car in Coffs Harbour.Too many worries with the old one.
Had to do a rush trip back to the Central Coast……..business then saw Ken ( who is back in hospital) Sam, Craig and the grandchildren, Danny, Kristy and Therese.
Thanks to Moe and Lorranine at the Nambucca Motor Inn who were great mates during our time at Nambucca Heads. Thanks for all the great cooking Moe, you are a gem.
Tuesday 2nd March
Well finally we are leaving Nambucca Heads. Amazing, we thought our destiny was Nambucca Heads!!!! Wednesday repacking the car and head off to Evans Head on Thursday.
Sunday 7th March
We’ve been here since Thursday Evans Head is a really nice place and the caravan park is great, we pick a spot to camp within a minutes walk from the break wall. We called in and had dinner with Jean and Jimmy the first night, the second night was a bit worrying due to some terrible weather, (cyclone winds, rain etc) we’ve had a couple of games of golf (still requires lots of practice) and yesterday on the break wall we bumped into Glenda’s cousin and his wife (Bobby & June), Bobby’s a mad fisherman so yesterday afternoon Glenda, Bobby & I went and pumped nippers. Last night Bobby & I went fishing, not much around, I caught one nigger & today Glenda Bobby & I went out in his boat, Bobby caught a huge King George whiting and I caught two nice sized Bream which we’ll have for dinner tomorrow night.
The fishing, golfing and nippering continues. Evans Head is a great little spot. In ten days time we will move on…..Brunswick Heads, Kingscliffe and the Gold Coast for Easter.
Caravaning, the people and the places in our wonderful country is just a magical experience.
