Penguin Surprise
This week has been a much better week. I am finally a designer again, thanks to Mandy, which is great! I’ve also had to drive to work (all by myself) everyday and I haven’t hit anything yet so I’m very proud of myself.
John hasn’t been so lucky on the job front this week but he had plenty of free time to hand out with Domhnall and Aoilean, our Irish friends from Laos, who have finally caught up with us on their round the world trip. I was very jealous but it was all good because we met up with them for a drink on the weekend, plus we’ve planned to see them again soon.
We finally made it to the beach this weekend. Friday was a lovely evening and a stroll along the seafront was just what the doctor ordered. We watched the sunset from the huge breakwater and saw some excellent views of the city and we were pleasantly surprised to see the native fairy penguins. They’re so cute settling down to sleep in their little dens. We’re definitely looking forward to going back to St. Kilda beach (which is so close to our house!) for a fun filled day of chilling, fun fares and penguins!
