All I want for Christmas is some sunscreen
Hey guys!
It's definitely been a while since we have written, but I'm sure you will understand once I explain..
You see, we seem to have made our way to a couple of sandy and sunny beaches. And when one finds him/herself in such a situation, it often becomes tough to deal with everyday life. Big decisions must be made daily- do I lie in the sun first and then go for a swim? ..or should I swim first and then lie in the sun? Should I drink that $1 beer?.. or should I drink the fresh pineapple juice? Should I have dinner before or after the sun sets? As you can see, we've been doing our best to cope and in the meantime, have found it difficult to make our way to the internet cafe in the stress of it all. We knew you would understand :)
Anyway, we wanted to write a message to all our friends and family and wish you guys a very Merry Christmas! We hope you all get the chance to enjoy good food, good company and good times all around.
Today is Christmas Eve for us. Tonight we are attending a sea food party on the beach which will involve fresh fish, a bon fire, fireworks, and company from around the world. We then plan to make our way into town for midnight mass (Christianity is very big in southern India). We've been told the party on the beach continues after mass until the wee hours of the morning.
We can't post any pictures until we make it back to Mumbai in a few days. There are no internet cafes here that will allow us too. We do have many to share with you tho!
Take care and enjoy the holiday season!!
Later,
Laura and Andrew
