So, after counting down for what seems like a gazzilion years we're finally here with only 24 hours to go! 'Bout bloody time. So, the job's been packed in, my lovely little flat has been now been let to some jumped-up little rich student and my car has been left in a state of disrepair cos I haven't been able to afford to do anything since approximately April 4th. But who cares about all that stuff cos this time tomorrow we'll be sat at London Heathrow waiting to board a flight to Bangkok, oh, and it's more than likely that we'll be either drunk... or getting drunk.

After about 700 leaving parties/goodbyes over the past few weeks I've learnt a thing or two that shall definitely be put in to practice over the next 5 months-

Lesson no 1 - learn when to admit defeat and go home. On Thursday when singing 'you can leave your hat on' to a guy that, well, was probably a tramp (I don't mean you Stu) we probably should have realised it was time to stop drinking, admit defeat and leave rather than getting that next round in. In fact, maybe we should have left before then...

Lesson no 2 - learn when to say no. I'm not gonna give the full breakdown of Friday night's shennanigan's but lets just say the liplock situation with the bearded man should not have happened. Oh well, at least I didn't get thrown out of the pub after wrapping myself in a 10ft banner and being chased around by the bouncers in a Benny Hill style comedy sketch - AMANDA. God, we're not gonna last 5 minutes in a foreign country let alone 5 months.

But all leaving parties and carnage is now out of the way and we have a nice relaxing 5 months planned, just reading the bible, getting early nights and staying t-total. Hmmmm......

Right, best get back to trying to shove my entire life in to the smallest rucksack on the planet and then having a hissy fit when it strangely doesn't fit. First stop Macclesfield train station... how ironic.

See you all soon, I'm gonna miss you all xx
