hello hello!!!

i was not able to write for almost a week; not that i was extremely busy or anything... i was just not able to stay awake :D

as of today, i finished 3 weeks at my job... on the way to work, i thought about my father today... that he worked 8.30-17.30 for almost 45 years!!! and here i am just finished with the 3rd week and being happy :D

however, i should not complain... i mean, i am in a new place working for a cool project under great conditions... in any case, at the end of today, i just wished that i will always be able to keep myself away from a boring cycle, that forever and ever i will have just a suitcase of belongings, and be moving around and around and around...

anyways... the past days were pretty laid back... on sunday (oct 18), we went to la palm hotel to take advantage of the pool... even though there is no connection to the beach from the hotel, behind the fence i got to see the labadi beach, which was by the way nowhere close to the bojo beach we went the previous week... there were tires, litter everywhere... it is so sad that we cannot protect all these beauties we have...

hmmm, tuesday evening (oct 20) we went to ryan’s irish pub for a fundraiser dinner: we eat, they school... it is a nonprofit to help low-income kids with school... there will be monthly dinner where the money will be donated to a public school to be spent for needy students...

it was a nice evening; first of all it was for a good purpose... the irish pub has a very nice garden with picnic tables... there was a local band playing some traditional music... i don't know the names of the instruments, but i have two favorites :D the drum on which you sit and play with your hands and feet... and the shaker made with calabash and beads...

then, i met with ashley and thomas who are the founders of the organization... i told them that i can do design work if they need... hopefully they will get in touch with me, i am excited for this :D i will look for other ngos in a while, being here is a great opportunity... i just need some more time to settle... but hopefully this will be a good start :D

what else... oh, today i rearranged the desks in my office... i created some office feng-shui for more success :P

you can see some photos from sunday (la palm pool) and tuesday (fundraiser dinner)...

ciao ciao,

_belgin
