2009-09-27, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Went to a Village Education project in Marangu. Intrepid and Guerba have sponsored it and provided a village with a computer centre. It was so good! There was a volunteer guy, Bob, who was a teacher over in the UK and came over here to do teacher training. He was so passionate about the work he did, it was so good to see! They have given them great facilities. Marangu is a village up in the slopes of Kilimanjaro and we've camped here last night. We got here in the dark and had to pitch tents in the dark and not being able to see where we were. I could actually say it was near enough in the middle of the forest!! We've had some brilliant camp sites. I HATE carrying and putting up the tents though!!

Yesterday we went to the childrens home and the boys played football against the kids. Our team lost badly!!

Next entry: Upgraded to a real room!
