My last presentation as an architecture student at the University of Colorado was officially over. Now what to do? Get a job? Possibly, but it feels like there's more out there than just finding work. I had been toying with the idea to move to California for a little while now, so why not just go for it? No real reason why I shouldn't, so I made up my mind and got ready to head out on the road. I needed to kill time for a couple of months so I found some rather mindless work to pay the bills. The last few months went painfully slow, but the time for departure had finally come. I was about to trade in the beautiful mountains of Colorado for the soft sandy beaches of San Diego. I didn't exactly now what I was getting myself into, but it didn't matter because it was something new, something exciting. I threw away anything that would slow me down and packed my extremely small Honda Accord to the brim, hoping it wouldn't burst. June 1st, 2007 had arrived and I was off. The pictures document the trip itself, but the lifestyle change couldn't be captured by a still image. It has been just over two years since that day, and now it's time to continue my journey... abroad. The time spent in San Diego is a whole other story in itself, make that many stories, but it was the move that started it all.
