Beijing - Week Twenty Five (Great Wall v.5).

This weekend was a great weekend in Beijing. Approaching the end of September I have realized that my time is getting short in China. Next week I will be heading to Japan for about eight days with Keith which will be amazing, although during that time The People's Republic of China is celebrating it's 60th Anniversary. This is said to be one of the largest migrations of people in the world. People from all over China travel to Beijing (as well as vacation all over the world) during this time.

In honor of this I think the hightlight of this weekend was Tiananmen Square, which was decorated in all it's festive gear. We also had the chance to feel like celebrities and have our photos taken by numerous chinese people. Michele had a close friend of hers in town - Lorraine - so we went to the great wall and saw some of the major sights in the city including "the egg" and Bei Hai Park, even road a bread cart which is meant to fit one (small chinese) person.

Pictures turned out pretty nice. This weekend we actually have to work due to the holiday, but we get eight days off following that which make a nice incentive.

Best,
Aaron
