The last few days I´ve been in Toledo (I don´t remember what days because this last week I never knew what day it was nor what the date was). I already put up pictures so you´ve maybe seen those but you should look at them because it was the most beautiful place I´ve been to in Spain thus far (it´s early). Toledo is old and beautiful and full of life! We saw the whole place (it´s not that big) and ate some great food (which seems to be rare here) and went to a discoteca that was in an old church. What an oxymoron. One day we found a cerveceria (like a bar basically) and I ordered a sangria for 2.5€ and got a free tapa with it and the tapas were the best I´ve had yet. So for 2.5€ you get a glass of sangria and paella which is a rice dish with some seafood or meat in it. It was so good and I´m excited to be in Valencia now becuase they are famous for the paella. Later in Toledo, we went out, had dinner and then went to a few bars because people don´t go dancing until about 1 am. So we walked to the old church and they played mostly American music from about 5 or 10 years ago (haha). Trying to dance to an old ACDC song can be difficult. Luckily I´d had some sangria. We danced until about 3 or 4 maybe, I don´t recall (which is acutally early for Spaniards). The next day we went to Valencia and met our host families. I am at the ISA office right now because our host family has wireless internet but for some reason we´re not allowed to use it so I came here because we´re allowed to use the internet here. The family is very interesting and I´m not sure how we´ll be treated. There are 2 Dutch girls staying there right now and they speak very good English and they gave us the low down on the family and one of them said ¨she´s a strange woman...¨ I´m not sure how it´s going to go but all I know is that they eat at a different time because they eat different food than us. And by different, I mean better...More on that to come. For now, I may be going to the beach with some of my friends. Tomorrow I start class.
