| | | Day 2 | | | | | Woke up suuuuuper early to catch the bus to the JSA/DMZ tour. We had to get coffee of course at Tom and Toms right by my hotel. We headed down the subway and got off at City Hall and made our way to our bus.
Our first stop was the train to nowhere. It was a train station that is supposed to connect North to South. We have a few pics of us "heading to pyongyang." After this we went to a lookout point where our tour guide "Lisa" explained to us the history of the Korean War. There was a huge minimap and she showed us some of the towns nearby as well as the four known tunnels that were created after the ceasefire agreement.
We then headed to tunnel number 3 and headed down in a "rollercoaster" to the tunnel. We were able to walk around to a certain point. They made the tunnels really small and I couldn't stand up straight the whole time. She gave me a backrub later that night cause of this =P
We then switched buses and went on the JSA tour (joint security area) which is the area where North Koreans and South Koreans occupy somewhat peacefully. Its run by the UN and there are US Army soldiers there. We got to go in the building where they hold talks and meetings, and a lookout point.
After the tour we decided to get some food at the mall, take a short break and meet up later for dinner.
For dinner we had soup w/ rice. I'm not sure what it was called but it was good. We decided to just get some drinks and head to my hotel after dinner.
