So I have deliberated for over 2 months to write a conclusion to my time spent in Africa. For the first month I pondered what to write. How do I sum up such a trip? It's nearly impossible. However, since it has been this long I figured I should at least write something.
First off, I would like to thank everyone who supported this trip. It would not have been possible without all of the gracious support from friends, family and coworkers. It is a long process but Sam and I still plan on making a DVD of the trip and I would love to give a copy to everyone who supported us. I haven't forgotten about that promise, it's just that we have been super busy with all kinds of other projects that we haven't gotten to it yet.
I want to expound on how it feels to be home after such an eye opening trip but feel as though I cannot even begin to process my thoughts and feelings in one short update. It will come, I promise but not now.
It does seem as though I will be going back to Uganda in 2 years time. My next trip, however, will be to India next year with a small group of people from Sola.
I will try to update more frequently on my recent adventures, such as hitch-hiking to the Okanagan, road tripping to San Francisco for a day, and camping on Keats and Gabriola Islands.
