So today was my first full day in Vietnam and I did not sleep well at all last night. Outside the window was a cute little shrine with insense and a budda which I would have considered sweet if it wasn't lite up like a christmas tree in neon lights that flashed continuasly throughout the night. I swear, spiritual deighty or not I would have smashed the little fucker if I could off. Putting my bad night sleep aside, today I decided to go to the Cu Chi Tunnels to learn a little about the Vietkong and the war, was pretty intense stuff. Can't believe how they lived and how inventive they were. They dug tunnels, that I got to experience first hand, to escape from the Americans and namparm bombs, was so claustraphobic!!!! I don't no how they coped. They showed all the bubby traps they set up throughout the areas to get unsuspecting Yanks. Was scary stuff. So following a day surrounded by intense storys of violance and war I found I had worked up quite an appitite so popped out down the local bar to have a drink, only to find it was a local pick up spot for protitutes. But the coconut milk (served in a freash coconut) was lovely and cheap enough so it wasn't to bad, though being surrounded by middle aged american buisness men and their....friends was a little off putting at time. Haha. Well off to the Mekong Delta tomorrow for a couple of days so most prob won't be any wifi. But will update asap.

Next entry: Clothes, shoes and beaches
