Day twenty nine

Whilst we had breakfast at the hostel we managed to find staff, check in and pay for the hostel. We then headed off to the train station to book our tickets to Brugge, booking was very easy with no queue and all the trains we needed were free for booking. We then headed for The TV tower in east Berlin, on the way we were distracted by the Saturn shop and spent an hour and a half in it. We queued for the ticket for only five minuets, but had to wait and hour and a half before we could go up. So we went for a walk around east Berlin to pass the time, our route took us through old flats from soviet rule. We then went up the tower which was very impressive, it took us just above two hundred meters and had a really good view of Berlin. The tower was very tall, but the area where you could go around was quite small for its height. Once down we had a quick look around some of old east Berlin and went towards the Parliament building to go up it, but it was too busy so we decided not to. We went back to the hostel for a while to get online. After which it was late so we went to see Berlins buildings at night.

Next entry: Day at the zoo
