And now for our second collection...

We went to the Vatican today and if u read the title again, you may now have guessed that it was not cheap. However, price was not an issue and Catholics love their collections, the vatican, Vatican Museums, sistine chapel and st. Peter's basilica are something that everyone should see. Unfortunately, words or pictures (not mine anyways) cannot describe any of these places. Massive paintings, sculptures, frescoes, tapestries, u name it, were quite breath-taking to see. I will admit that it does get a bit boring seeing what appears to be the same painting over and over again, but it was still awesome.

The sistine chapel is a giant chapel filled covered with artwork...u have to see it, i can't describe it.

St. Peter's basilica is the largest church in europe and is also filled with artworks from the greatest artists to live. Bernini, michaelangelo etc...

The Pope was not there, and even though i demanded to see him, they insisted he would not meet with me even if he were there. whatever.

observations:

the swiss guards look just as goofy in real life. I swear i could've taken one of them, he was tiny.

going up the coppola (the dome in st.peter's basilica) is not safe. 501 steps and a major fire hazard.

cheapness is a scent, regardless of what anyone says. i saved us 2 euro each yesterday by using the stairs. i later spent it on beer.

did i mention we did another pub crawl...

we're off to interlaken, then munich, then amsterdam. we're probably just gonna drink.

love u all!
