|  | | Monday | | | | | monday saw an optional trip back to the compound for half the group. we loaded our backpacks and the truck with bags of rice and beans and walked the area around the compound to deliver to needy people Benite led us to. it was unique to get to see how the people live in a closeup way. many who went commented that this was the best part of the trip. we headed back to the hotel and had a nice lunch with those who stayed back. the rest of the day was spent in the ocean and pool and packing and getting packed and ready to come home. the feeling is bitter sweet as we are ready to come home, but will miss the people and experience we had this past week.
