So we get off the plane and have to walk about 20 minutes to get to the baggage claim. We finally reach the baggage claim and there are hundreds of bags coming out, and we dont see ours for quite a while...we started to get a little nervous, and then all of our bags popped out all at once. Thank goodness!! We then walk our way over to customs with these little cards that we have filled out on the plane. One of the questions wat have you taken any soil, shells...bla bla bla from the country in which you are coming from?? SO the guy that I was sitting next to on the plane had told me that if you say no on the card and they find out you do, then you can be arrested!! Me being the little pussy that I am checked off the box for the one shell that I had taken...Mike Matt and Kristen who also all had shells said no and walked right through. ME...I had to go to this counter, open up my bag, find the ONE shell that was burried in my HUGE suitcase, and then answer many other questions as well. So next time maybe I wont check that stupid little box!! Anyway, I finally get through and everyone has made their way to the bathroom already and exchanging their money...I was a little behind, so I had to rush a little. But we all got our stuff together and then began to look for a man that was supposed to be picking us up and bringing us to the University. After a while of waiting we met another group of students who were also waiting for the same man. They were again...all from Iowa, they really are everywhere!! Soon after we met this crew we found our driver and made about a mile walk to the place where our bus was parked. We all got our stuff into the bus, and began our adventure into our new home for the next 6 months...
