The plan was to get up and do 8:30am Yoga...Not so much. I slept like the dead. Must have needed the sleep more than the Yoga this morning.

Went to the breakfast buffet for an amazing plate of fresh fruit & fresh squeezed orange juice (with just a little champagne), why not???

Then off to the spa. Today my angel was Josefina. I call her an angel becuase she is one. She is the sweetest thing I've ever met and she gave me body treatments that took inches off my body. Who wouldn't call someone an angel for doing that??

Time for the beach and some book reading. My favorite book up until this point in my life has been The Solitaire Mystery by the same author. The book inspired me to decide IF I ever get brave enough to get a tattoo it will be one of the characters in this book which is a Jester in a colorfull outfit w/bells on his shoes. That being said, I was really looking forward to diving head first in to this book. I went to the room so I could scope out the perfect beach spot from the balcony before going down. I found just the right chair, under just the right palm tree, just the right distance from the beach and most importantly far enough away from the other guests so I could read in peace & quiet.

I got down to the beach, grabbed the perfect chair, put on my sunscreen, ordered a sampler lunch plate of tortilla chips and a variety of salsa & dips. I got settled in and jumped right in to the book. The story is hard to explain but it delves in to different philosopy theories of evolution that I had never heard of before. Example...that man came from fish, evolved to frogs, then salamander like amphibian lizards etc, etc?? It also attempts to explain the Maya theory of the Universe... Mother Earth, eveything is connected, etc.....I found this also to be a hmmmm...moment since I have been struggling lately with my beliefs and torn between science and religion. This intrigued me even more so I was really in a zone.

About this time I start hearing these loud voices coming up from behine me, the voices got louder and louder so I knew they were close. Holy Crap....it was the French group from the night before! There was empty beach all around me yet they pulled up 8 chairs so close to me that I had to move my bag and shoes out of there way... hello...there's a whole friggin beach here...and they had to come get literally on top of me. This totally pissed me off so I packed up my shit and told them they could have my chair too. I was steamed...I went to the room and popped a xanax!!! Screw the body cleanse, I'm here to relax and if xanax is what it takes, well so be it!!!!

My spa treatments were not until later so I went by to see if I could book a snorkeling excursion that afternoon. Super cool guy ran the dive shop. I forget his name, but he was a hippie too! We bonded! He was from Chicago and has been in Mexico for the last 10 years. No intention of ever going back! Unfortunately, the boat does not go out unless there are at least 2 passengers booked and I was the only 1 wanting to go at that time. He volunteered to take me anyway and be my personal guide. Peaceful Hippie or not, instincts kicked in and I decided going on a boat in Mexico alone with a man I just met was likely not the best idea I would have that day so I politely declined!

I ended up booking an extra spa treatment with Joel instead. Some kind of detox treatment where you put your feet in this herbal water and they put electrodes to it.... the most black nasty stuff I have ever seen came out of my feet. I have never seen anything like it. He asked if I lived in a big city with lots of toxins...NO, I live on the beach....I knew in my mind the toxins are self injested via the alcohol, xanax, ambien and another smokeable substance that help keep me somewhat sane, calm & keep me from strangling my boss!!!

After this it was time for sunset yoga. Talk about peaceful! Could've been the Yoga, could've been the xanax but either way I was some kind of relaxed!!!

Dinner time again.... No loud rude people tonight, found out they were all at a wedding and leaving the next day, halleluiah!!!! It was nice and quiet and I was able to read a little at dinner. I had a great dessert. Corn Pie..whodathunkit?? It didn't sound good but it was awesome, so was the red wine and mexican coffee that I had with it. Forget the cleanse all together, the alcohol & xanax are doing the trick just fine! The book gets more fascinating my the minute! It was a slow read because it was deep into the philosophy stuff so I had to take my time to really understand the philosophy not just the storyline. I usually read murder mysteries and fly right thru them.

Back to the room, hammock time. Spent some time drawing sketches and making notes for my journal. Slept GREAT!!!!
