Well after a 6 hour delay in the airport in Cuzco, we finally made it to Bolivia! We got here on Thursday night and our hostel is huge! There's only 8 people in our room though which is nice, considering the four of us take up half of it! On Friday we went ATV riding in the valley of the moon up in the hills above la paz. the views were amazing, and we got to ride really fast! then on saturday we rode bikes down "The World's Most Dangerous Road", a really scary gravel road that hugs a huge cliff that people have fallen off of and died before! We booked our trip through a really reliable agency and they prepared us very well for the ride. They said all of the injuries are due to intoxication, and did not allow us to go out the night before our ride. It took us all day, we had to meet at 7am at a cafe by our hostel, then we rode in a bus for about an hour to the top of a huge mountain. We biked down a paved road for about an hour before getting to the "Dangerous" road. Overall the ride took about 4 hours, with lots of breaks and a really cool guide. Our whole group of nine made it down without even a crash! Then we had to ride in a bus back 3 hours to our hostel. That night we hung out with a couple of guys from London who were on our bike ride and our guide came out with us too! They took us all around La Paz to discoteccas, it was so fun! But yes, I am safe! We were originally planning on leaving for lake Titicaca tomorrow morning, but due to road blockages and strikes we had to alter our plans. So we are staying in La Paz until Tuesday, taking an overnight bus to Uyuni where we are taking a tour of the Salt Flats, a huge desert of salt. I've heard only amazing things about the tour, and also that it is FREEZING! It's weird being cold here in July! But that's my update, I'm sure Kimmy's blog is a bit more detailed, but I will tell all upon my return accompanied by pictures!! Love you, Whit
