So our adventure in mongolia started with us landing in Ulaan Butar and then taking a 12 hour train ride to Erdenet.

When we got there we unpacked and all that and then Jon sent us out in groups with a little bit of money just in case and told us to just walk around and pray and look for ways to bless people. We all got to either meet people and talk with them or even just get some snacks and give them to the kids playing at the play ground. It was nice to right away dive into just looking for ways to bless others.

We had two different days of picking up trash near the homes and around the fields. Both times kids flocked over to us and started helping and just wanted to talk to us, it was a great time. Even in picking up trash we found joy in it. We got to eat with the staff and DTS at the base afterwards the first time. We then talked to the DTS students who where just about to Graduate and we got to pray over them.

We got to go to a mongolian small group. It was really cool, hearing them sing in mongolian was so beautiful and when we would recognize a song we would join in. We read from Titus 1-2 and all just shared what we got out of it and how it can apply to our lives.

The base will take in a family for two weeks and just give them medication they need and nice hot showers, food and a nice place to stay for two weeks. We split in two groups and went to houses of the families to check up on them and see how they where. It was an amazing time to just really ask how they where doing and spend time with them letting them know that are valued. We got to lead two women to the lord, Thank you JESUS!!! It was just so eye opening to see how they lived and how little they have compared to us and yet most of them where happy. We decided to make gift baskets for them with a nice blanket, bibles, food and toiletries. We then went back a few days later and gave them these gift baskets and got to visit one more time. It was awesome to see the one woman who had accepted God in get life, For a second I didn't even recognize her because she just seemed to have a light about her and was more happy. We got to really pray over all the families as well for health and other things they asked for prayer. I believe God has really used us and touched those families. It's such a blessing just being able to see them and spend time with them.

We got to go to an english class and help out with that one night. They have a ministry there that is a cafe (Eternal Springs Cafe) where they have english classes and try to share about God with others. There was to classes, one was intermediate and the other was advanced. So we got to split up and join both.

One day we joined a youth group from ages 18-30. They did worship and then we did 2 skits and Joanna shared her testimony. It was really good and they all wanted us to play some sports with them another day. So a few days later we had a day where we got to play basketball with them. It was cool, we had alot of fun playing and chilling with them.

On sunday we went to church. Joanna, Dan and Kenny sang a song for the church and then Jon shared his sermon. After the service we asked anyone who wants prayer for healing to come up front. So many people came up to be prayed for, it was such an amazing time and it seemed to help so many people. After church we got to play games with the kids for a while. It was so much fun and the kids really enjoyed us playing with them. They are all so adorable and full of joy. They then did a little song with motions for us. The youngest little girl was pretty much attached to Skye, it was so cute.

We got to spend an afternoon visiting the Ger people who move around alot herding animals and living in these tent kinda houses. They had given us some salty milk drink and these really hard sour bread or cheese stuff, not sure what exactly it was but it was super hard to get down. They let us ride their horse and we went up to look at the camels. It was really cool to see how they lived.

We helped out the base by going to a potato field and picked weeds for a few hours. Us all working together helped them start. We each did two LONG rows, so we got i guess around 14 rows done. They still had alot to go but we defiantly helped out a big chunk.

We got to get together with a couple who are long term missionaries working with the Eternal Springs cafe. They where both really cool and told us the crazy rad story on how they meet and got engaged as we got to talk with them and get to know them. It was awesome meeting them and playing with their 1 1/2 year old girl.

We got to hang out with the staff at the Eternal Springs Cafe before we left to go on the 12 hour train again. Chukka had set it up so that we would be in the room right next to the Hong Kong team that had came. So we got to chill out and get to know that team as we traveled in the train. We got to jam out on some worship together, they where a really cool team and it was fun chilling with them.

We are actually still in a hotel the airline has put us in because our flight has been delayed numerous times, still trying to get outta here but It's been a blessing to have some time to catch up totally on this blog and find some rest. So hopefully we will soon be out of here...not sure when that will be but I guess God is trying give us an opportunity to learn more patience haha. Let you know how it all works out! But for now we are going to enjoy chillin at the hotel.
