We finally made it to Bolivia! We decided to fly here since the roads are still closed from Peru to Bolivia. Our flight was a little more than we wanted to spend, but the only way here was a bus that would have been a really long route...and we are on a time constraint.
Our flight was supposed to leave at 8am, so we arrived at the airport at 6am. When we got there, our flight was delayed until 1145, but they gave us a free food voucher to use in the cafeteria since they felt bad. We were then waiting in line around 1030 to go through security...and our flight was delayed until 230! They gave us another food voucher haha. So it was a long day, but at least we got fed. The flight was only 45 min and gorgeous!
La Paz is awesome...it is literally in the base of a canyon, so the streets are really steep and it is border by mountains. It is the highest city in the world also, but we are used to the altitude now. We are still deciding what we want to do here...the hostel offers a lot of day trips and overnight trips to surrounding areas. Since we couldn't come through Lake Titicaca on the way here, we might go for a night from La Paz, because it is only 3.5 hours away.
