Journey to Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is located in the heart of Sri Lankan hill country. Home of the famous Ceylon tea and the rolling mountains are carpeted of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. The elevation is 1890m (5960 ft) from the mean sea level. Temperatures are 14~21C (Jan- April) 16~18C (May-Aug) 15~ 8C (Sept-Dec).The city is located at a distance of 180km from Colombo. The cellubrious climate, misty glens and similar to the British climate, make the place much attractive to the travelers of all over the world.
Kumara Ayya, One of my cousins invited me to participate a one-day family trip to Nuwara Eliya, organized by him. This time we visited Ramboda fall in addition to the common travel locations at Nuwara Eliya.
Since I have uploaded a remarkable number of images on Nuwara Eliya in my early journeys, uploaded a few this time.
There is a stepped path to Ramboda fall near the entrance of the road tunnel built recently at Ramboda pass. It's an important travel location where rarely visited by most of the travelers who pass through the tunnel.
