Hello everyone!

I'm sorry about the internet problems that I had the past week, but I just want everyone to know that I've made it home, back to good ol' Manhattan, Kansas.

And although it felt great to sleep in a bed last night, I've got to say that I really miss the orphanage. But I promised enough kids and mama's that I'd be back, so I'll just have to keep that promise :)

I've begun the culture shock...it's just very strange to live so comfortably so quickly, even though I was only there 3 weeks. And honestly, it's a little disturbing to walk into stores and have every single thing you could ever need (plus more) right at your finger tips. We take SO much for granted here. And I hope that reading about my experience will have made you want to take a trip like this on your own. Because I don't think that one can truly understand how blessed we are to be born where we were born- in the States. Last night, as I crawled into my big warm bed, after a hot shower (with some legitimate water pressure, might I add), I just thought "Why me?" Why did God bless us so much to be born in the United States? Why when I was born was I instantly given 2 parents, freedom, food, shelter, and TONS of opportunities? It really makes you think.

Well, I hope that everything's great where you are, and I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers while I was in Uganda. If anyone would want to talk more about the experience, I'd LOVE to! Just let me know if you have any questions or want to get together.

Back in the states..... let's see how this goes.

God is so, so great. Here, and in Africa.

Love you all,
Linds
