There were no official activities planned today. Some of our group visited the infamous World War 2 concentration camp in Dachau, while others visited Neuschwanstein Castle (the "Schloss" built by "Mad King Ludwig"). Others checked out the famous Hofbrauhaus brewery and beer hall or did so earlier.
Due to a lack of preparation and initiative, I'm sorry to say I saw none of those sights. I did, however, pair up with Mike and we took in the Siemens Museum in downtown Munich, which featured various electronic and mechanical devices made over the years by this vast, international company headquartered in Bavaria. We also finally got into the music store World of Music-- they were definitely open on Tuesday!
One of the features of European music stores not allowed in the U.S., was the ability to open up CD's and listen to them before purchasing. So-- I bought a large number of CD's which were unavailable in the U.S. and proved to be quite valuable for me. Otherwise, I think we just kind of bummed around the city.
For evening entertainment I and many of our group went back to the same beer hall from two days earlier. There was a different "oom pah pah" band and they invited Dave and Toni to "guest conduct". Also, there was a group of Texans who would prove to be quite rowdy. Looking back on it, I took an awful lot of beer pictures (most of which I edited out), but when you're in Munich, what do you expect?
