Not much to enlighten on the subject of wine regions. I suppose that the conditions neccessary to grow grapes create a certain level of homogenity of landscape and climate. The buildings vary in age, size and style but they seem to vary as much from street to street as country to country. The food is always of a high standard. This makes sense: snobby about the former, snobby about the latter.
So we've sorted out the similarities between various wineries and wine regions worldwide. That being said, I enjoyed Stellenbosch more than most (which I already enjoy at a very high level). Maybe it's the distant view of Table Mountain. Maybe it's the reasonable prices. Maybe it was the last day of the honeymoon and we were holding onto every moment like it was our last. And in terms of honeymooons, it was.
