Been a while since I've written anything. I've moved, to the other side of Thailand, but I'm with the same group I was with before. (minus one person, and adding another) Life has been good here, the weather is hot, the scenery is stellar and every day we waste away beneath the sun.
The last few nights in Koh Phangan were good, we went to a pool party, then on the last night we spent the evening down at the beach. It's not just a regular beach though. There they have a skipping rope that's on fire. This in itself is nuts, but when the skipping rope breaks in half, and goes flying into the crowd, that is nuts. A huge crowd of people were left to dodge the rope. For the most part, I think everyone was okay.
We had to hop on a boat at 7 in the morning to come over to this side of Thailand. The boat ride was relaxing and chilled out, but the taxi ride to the second boat was a different story. Our taxi was late, and when you're late in Thailand they make up for lost time by driving faster. Viktor (the Swede) races cars at home, and even he was scared. It was all good though.
When we got to Phi Phi, and found a place to stay, we found the bar where people go to fight for free booze. It's a funny place to spend the night. The best fight might have been the two French identical twins, Terry and Teddy. These two are nuts. I have never seen two people party harder every night than Terry and Teddy.
After a few hours at Raggae Bar, everyone heads down to the beach for an all night party. Then next morning when we all meet up, it's like wearing a badge of honour to see who was out the latest. For instance, my 4 AM curtain call last night was no match for Ben's (from Vancouver) 6:30 AM.
Two days ago, we went on a boat tour of the islands around Phi Phi. It was a fun day, and we met a lot of people. I might go on another one in two days with a couple of other people I met. It will be the exact same thing, but it's worth it to meet more people to hang out with.
Until then, I hang out at the beach and relax. It's a rough lifestyle, I know. I didn't have anything to do yesterday, no plans today, and nothing tomorrow. It's great when every day is Saturday.
May the force be with you, but mostly with me.
