I'm sitting here in the airport, charging my phone and my laptop. So far I've spent $25 on food and $8 on internet. It's just after 10PM and I just finished my sandwich. The whole time I was eating it, this lady dressed all in pink was just staring at me. I don't know why, but she just stared...... Get excited though, because it's super stormy and there's typhoon warnings in Thailand for about the next 3 years I guess. My foot kinda hurts, and I look funny limping around with my hugest-ever carryon, but hey, what else am I gonna do.
I like to buy my travel meds (i.e. immodium AD, pepto, Tylenol PM, etc.) from gas stations because they come in super small sizes, and I hate to carry around too much stuff if I know I'm not gonna use it. As I was paying for it all, the cashier felt the need to call up another employee across the station and ask, aloud, how much Immodium is. Once he figured out the price, he proceeded to ask me if everything was alright with me, and why I was sick. Rather than explain to him that I'm going to Nepal, it was just easier to say I like to have stuff in case, just for the road. He mumbled something in some foreign language after that, so I laughed awkwardly and walked out. Some one once said to me that they would trade 10 normal moments for 1 awkward moment. I hold true to that logic. Looks like I'm giving up 10 regular moments...
Peace
