Yes bali was an experience that's for sure. I set of on a rushed break to my close soth eastern neighbour, and what happens? i get a deadly bacteria infection that hospitalised me for the whole week.
I am kind of excited about it to be honest, as i love those "remember that time" stories. Plus i can scratch another mark of expereience into my traveling stick.
Bali has changed so much since i was last there about... 9 years ago. It is over populated and old now, it just doesn't carry the same youthful escapist vibe for the intrepid traveler. Somehow boagan australian men and women seemed to have usurped the island, and turned it into some tacky bintang wonderland.
Oh well we all knew it would happen, so i fear that is the last i will see of bali, i am instead setting my sights on less tainted parts of the world (if there is such a thing).
