First thing I noticed about Berlin was that i was noticeably warmer than Iceland. Also i airport was surprisingly small for an airport in such a big city. We all got our luggage but still had to hurry up and wait, because Tracee's luggage had been misplaced. Karma bitch, karma. Anyway once we finally got moving again, we boarded a train into the city. It was hard because we first had to go down the stairs and then go up the stairs with all our luggage, typical traveling scenario. Then we rode the bus to our hostel which had a stop conveniently placed right in front. The hostel use to be a house and was converted into a hostel/hotel. my room was on the top floor and the building had no elevator. Once done hauling my luggage up stairs for the last time, John, Zach, and I walked into our room and were instantly amazed. Not only was our room big then the one in Iceland but we also had four HUGE windows that had a view of a lake. The hostel was kind of funny. its was christen so of course there was no smoking or drinking, but what made it funny was we weren't allowed to play cards. Breaking any of the rules resulted in a 15 euro fine for each person in the room.

once we ahd an hour to relax and get situated, we were off to downtown Berlin.

What we did next is a blurr of what we did the next couple of days. i cant remember in what order things were so I am just gonna say what happened in no particular order.

We went and saw a part of the Berlin wall and went into the DB center where we ate and walked around. then we walked around the Holocaust memorial and dusk which was really cool. Then we walked to the Brandenburg Gate, which at Dusk with a Saxophone playing in the square, feels like a movie. WE walked along the he line were the Berlin wall use to be which lead to a river. With the city lights and the light breeze everything, felt so out of my world. I truly felt like i was in a other country. From river front we walked to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, which is this HUGE train station that had five levels going in each direction. Despite being nearly ten at night the station was still booming with movement. we rode to train home, and luckyl cauhgt the last bus to our hostile.
