We have been teaching at CCOLT for two weeks now and are definitely settled in (especially now that Zoe has finally mastered the names of the five children in her class!). We managed to sort it so that we didn't have to teach the evening classes because we realised after one of them that it was just too difficult (the kids don't speak enough English for us to be of any use there, we ended up joining the class instead of teaching, which was a little bit ridiculous). Although we are really happy at CCOLT, there are still times when we realise how different it is from home- today, for example, we arrived at 9am to be told that every month the school timetable changes and so we would now be teaching all our lessons in a row in the afternoon without a break...it would have been nice to be told that before our early wake up!!
All in all, we are really happy here and doing our utmost to try and make a difference for as many of the kids as possible. Here's hoping we can! xx
