Great new Wednesday morning, managed to drop the kids off after 3 days of strugeling and the help of a giant horse tablet. What a relief.

Our route took us through Ubud where we stayed for one night. We travelled through all the villages with their huge vatiety of craft shops and factories. There are just so many different crafts to see and buy. They are such a talented people. Ubud is very much for the tourists, just wall to wall shops and resturants. We stayed just outside which was quieter at a bungalow that R & Z stayed in for 2 months when they first came here.

Thursday morning we drove on towards Gunung Batur which is the crater of a huge volcano. It was much more rural with lots of fruit growing. We stopped at a local stall and bought lots of tropical varieties.

The volcano crater was quite stunning, it stretched for miles with a huge lake and small villages inside. We sat in a cafe on the rim enjoying the views whilst sipping avocado and chocolate juice.

On to our next stop Tirta Empul. This is an ancient temple famous for it's natural springs. Locals come from all around to bathe in the holy waters.

Quite a long drive home, we stopped off at a fish resturant on the way, great food again.

Just chilling out today, then off to Zach's island in the morning
